I studied photography in my 20׳s with the fantasy that I will travel the world while capturing all the good, the bad and the unnecessary.

It was at the beginning that I fell in love with analog photography.

 

Working with film helps me to create images clean of personal judgment and allows me to be present at the moment relying on my own instinct, judgment, past mistakes and knowledge; creating an intelligent coincidence.

The knowledge that I work with a material that is affected by every step of the process intrigues and excites me; there is no retouching, fixing on the spot, no influence from the Instant habits of modern life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The connection happens when I see the image for the first time, only then when I am detached from the moment that I took it, I’m able to connect to it on an emotional level.

I have worked with a Hasselblad 6X6 camera for the past 10 years.

I don’t have one subject, or am I dealing with more than other, some are documentaries, some are studio, and some are just my daily life.

My work is driven from my necessity of self observation and the basic instinct for visual excretion.
